The work that went into investigating Our Lady of Charity, Patroness of Cuba, culminates in the drafting of this book which began 16 years ago, in 1995. Our Lady of Charity, the Mother of Jesus, son of God, is the greatest symbol of Cuban Catholicism and the first symbol of freedom for the Cuban nation. These two volumes tell the story of four centuries and uses information found in the Cuban archives, the Archivo General de Indias in Seville as well as American archives. It also boasts an extensive bibliography.
